True Wisdom comes from Jehovah

Living as a true Christian in the world today can be quite discouraging. Everyday it seems things get worse for those with faith in spiritual things rather than physical things. While physical or material things are nice to have and sometimes make life "easier", how much of them do you need to acquire to find true happiness? Many living now have the attitude "You only have one life to live...", so they spend countless hours and years working to achieve unparalleled success in careers and businesses ventures, all the while acquiring multiple houses, exotic cars, rare art, the finest jewelry and many others "treasures on earth". Sadly, many of the people who achieve such success accomplish it by ill or corrupt means, influenced by this "wicked" system, they themselves become "wicked" in deeds and acts as they strive to maintain their lifestyles. This often makes "meek" hearted individuals feel despair, as they continue to see the wicked prosper, but how does the Sovereign Lord Jehovah feels about this:

Do not be afraid because a man becomes rich,

Because the splendor of his house increases,

For when he dies he can take nothing with him;

His splendor will not go down with him.

For during his lifetime he congratulates himself.

(People praise you when you prosper.)

But he finally joins the generation of his forefathers.

They will never again see the light.

A man who does not understand this, although honored,

Is no better than the beasts that perish. - Psalm 49:16-20 NWT

The words above teach us, despite all the time and things we do to acquire material riches, we can not take them with us to the grave. King Solomon echoed the wisdom of the words above when he said:

I came to hate all that I had worked so hard for under the sun, because I must leave it behind for the man coming after me. And who knows whether he will be wise or foolish? - Ecc 2:18,19

Just as one came from his mother’s womb, naked he will go away, just as he came. And he cannot carry away anything for all his hard work. - Ecc 5:15

In all his wealth and prosperity, at the end of the matter, Solomon in his God given wisdom realized the most important thing in life was to "Fear the True God and keep his commandments". Having a relationship with Jehovah, the source of true wisdom, is more important than any riches. Why, because even when material things or riches perish, a good name with God is everlasting. Jehovah God's son Jesus when on earth, echoed this same thought when he said:

Stop storing up for yourselves treasures on the earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal. Rather, store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. - Matt 6:19-21

There is nothing wrong with acquiring nice things, but never let the pursuit of them distract you from the most precious prize of all, a relationship with the true God Jehovah. For in this system of things, we all perish, but a good name with Jehovah will keep us alive and well in his limitless memory. Thus, if we should perish now, we have a future hope that is guaranteed in the rule of his son Christ Jesus, who will resurrect billions in his Fathers memory. What a grand hope and exciting future we have before us. Until that time, strive to develop wisdom by taking in knowledge of the true God Jehovah and his son Christ Jesus. (John 17:3) In this way, the words of Solomon may be fulfilled when he said "...Wisdom preserves the life of its owner." (Ecc 7:12)

  • The Rock, perfect is his activity, For all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness who is never unjust; Righteous and upright is he . - Deut 32:4 For you to put faith in the above words, you must really “know” and understand the “Rock” or Jehovah God and his viewpoint on things. When Jehovah God created the earth, it was perfect. When he created Adam, the first man and human race, was also perfect. It is not until sin entered the picture, that things became, imperfect. Satan deceived mankind with lies, causing a trickle down effect of sin and trouble to all of Adam’s offspring. To make matters worse, during that time God temporarily allowed his angelic sons to mix and rule among mankind. Of course these fallen angels did not remain holy in their conduct, producing a hybrid race of super humans called Nephilim. The Nephilim were giants, super strong and wreaked havoc upon the face of the earth. Ultimately, they became so large and fierce in number, God HAD to intervene or else they would have ruined if not destroyed the earth, halting or stopping God’s original plan. Therefore, Jehovah God stepped in to cleanse the earth of all flesh, in order to save it . We must remember, God’s original purpose for the earth, which was for man to live in paradise conditions with everlasting life under his ruler-ship, will still be fulfilled. A little more than 6,000 years have passed since the events of Eden destined mankind to death. However, very soon, God again will take action to cleanse the earth to bring about his original purpose: For they deliberately ignore this fact, that long ago there were heavens and an earth standing firmly out of water and in the midst of water by the word of God; and that by those means the world of that time suffered destruction when it was flooded with water. But by the same word the heavens and the earth that now exist are reserved for fire and are being kept until the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly people . - 2 Pet 3:5–7
  • I would like to start by saying I really appreciate the good work you are doing in spreading the good news and teaching the bible truth. You really helped me understand most of the verses in the bible. My question is about Romans 8:9, this verse is a problem in our field. Most “born agains” uses this verse to justify trinity (Jesus is god almighty). I understand very well that this verse talks about 144 000 of which Paul the apostle is one of them and I understand very well that holy spirit is Jehovah’s active force LUKE 11:20. My question is: what does it mean when it says: “the spirit of god lives in you ”? Does it mean the same thing as Romans 8:16: “the spirit testifies with our spirit”? This verse talk of Spirit of god and Spirit of Christ, How do you explain that? I quoted this verse from NIV because my Student uses it. I need clarification on this verse, I feel I am not explaining it the way I should do.
  • In order for the following prophecy to be fulfilled, “He is guarding all his bones; Not one of them has been broken.” ( Psalm 34:20 ) which method of death is accurate and true? Jesus Christ prayed openly in front of his disciples to his Father and God and stated, “Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth.  Just as you sent me into the world, I also sent them into the world.  And I am sanctifying myself in their behalf, so that they also may be sanctified by means of truth. ” ( John 17:17-19 ) Next time when the only true Christians come to knock on your door, it may be your last opportunity to come to an accurate knowledge of Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of Jehovah.  “Look! I am standing at the door and knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into his house and take the evening meal with him and he with me.” ( Rev 3:20 ) Remember Jesus’ Death (ASL w/sound)
